Drinking coffee makes women more difficult pregnancy, a study mentioned.

This is expected because of caffeine, contained in coffee damaging transport eggs from the ovary to the uterus, say the scientists from the United States.

Research involving 9000 women found that drinking more than four cups of coffee a day cut chances of becoming pregnant up to a quarter times.

Recent investigation conducted in mice showed that caffeine inhibits the contraction of the fallopian tubes are necessary to bring eggs to the uterus.

Caffeine activate cell-specific pacemaker cells in the tube wall. These cells coordinate the contraction wave tube that moves to bring eggs to the uterus.

Study leader Sean Ward, from the University of Nevada at Reno, USA, says the findings provide interesting explanations about why women with high caffeine consumption often takes much longer to conceive than women who did not consume caffeine.
